Hello: My name is Bill Goodman, and I live in
Dover-Foxcroft. I work for the
Department of Corrections at the
Mountain View
Youth Development Center in
Charleston,
and am also a part-time patrol officer for the town of Brownville in
Piscataquis County. I am a retired
USAF and USA veteran, and am still
serving proudly.
A friend of mine and I are hosting a public
safety motorcycle ride to benefit the
Children's Miracle Network. It is in
honor of a little 6-yr old boy named Jonathan Mullis, who is
currently undergoing chemotherapy for a
brain tumor.
He is the son of Brian Mullis, who is the supervisor of the
Mayo Hospital EMS, and of Mayo
Ambulance of Dover-Foxcroft & Dexter.
The idea of this ride is to raise funds for one of our own, however
Jon has requested that the money raised by this ride go to the
Children's Miracle Network...so be it.
Here are the details. We would like all of the Patriot Guard Riders
involved, as I truly feel that our military, past and present, are
just as much a part of public safety as anyone else. Our military
serves as defenders of our freedom. Need I say more?
